Australia's mateship and the Philippines' bayanihan may come from different cultures, bu they share a similar spirit: helping one another in difficult times and strengthening communities through compassion. In 2021, Australia and the Philippines used "Mateship and Bayanihan" as the theme for marking 75 years of diplomatic relations, reflecting the deep friendship and shared values between the two countries.
