  • Their day care has welcomed over 50 children, providing care, learning, and a chance to experience Filipino culture.

Although Jeanette and David Macasieb have no children of their own, dozens of little ones have become like family in their Armidale home. With every smile, hug, and milestone they witness, the couple shows that parenthood is not measured by blood, but by a heart willing to love, nurture, and dedicate itself to the children’s future.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, one in four Australian households had no children in 2022. By 2029, child-free couples are expected to outnumber those with children.
