The Filipino community in Sydney celebrated their culture, arts, and unity at the Pamana Ball 2026 – Recognition Night, hosted by NARRA Co-op and Plaza Filipino.

  • The Pamana Ball has become an annual celebration recognising outstanding Filipino-Australians in New South Wales while supporting the main project of NARRA Co-op, the Philippine-Australian Arts, Culture & Innovation (PAACI): Project 500, which aims to establish a Filipino-Australian Cultural and Innovation Centre and leave a lasting legacy for future generations.
  • Philippine Ambassador Hon. Antonio Morales attended as the guest of honour, noting the importance of taking pride in Filipino culture and continuing to build strong connections within a multicultural society like Australia.
  • The event took place on Sunday, 1 February 2026, at the Liverpool Catholic Club, where individuals with outstanding contributions to the promotion of Filipino culture and arts across generations were recognised.
  • The celebration coincided with National Arts Month in the Philippines, observed every February to recognise the importance of arts and culture in nation-building.

The honourees were formally recognised as Adult and Youth Ambassadors for Culture and the Arts.
