The Filipino Language School of Canberra (FLSC) will mark Filipino Language Month with its annual Fiesta ng Bayan celebration on 22 August, bringing the Canberra Filipino community together through language, culture and shared heritage.

- The 2026 Buwan ng Wika theme is “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.”
- Fiesta ng Bayan is FLSC’s flagship annual event, which offers Filipinos in Canberra a taste of Filipino festivals through games, performances, food and cultural exhibitions.
- FLSC teaches Filipino language and culture to young Filipino-Australians, helping them connect with family in the Philippines, understand their identity and embrace bilingualism as an advantage in a multicultural society.
- Alongside children’s classes, FLSC volunteers also teach young adults, professionals and diplomats preparing for postings in the Philippines through partnerships with University of New South Wales and the Canberra Institute of Technology.
