Sydneysider Rona Mallari found a spot outside a Pinoy restaurant in Doonside a year ago where she began selling sisig takeaways that quickly became a hit.

Revenue in the Fresh Meat market amounts to US$17.48 bn in 2025, according to Statista.
Mallari painstakingly prepares her product 'Sisig Qwin' by hand- rather than using a meat grinder - spending about six hours on each batch.
Encouraged by her in-laws, who gifted her approximately five kilos of meat, Mallari launched her business with a start- up capital of just $80.
