This 2024, the 126th anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day is being commemorated.

The Philippine Embassy in Canberra celebrated the 126th anniversary of the Philippines' Independence Day on 8 June. The celebration was led by Philippine Ambassador to Australia, Ma Helen B De La Vega, along with Filipino community leaders from the capital.
On 12 June, the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne led a flag-raising ceremony at Federation Square, headed by Consul General Maria Lourdes Salcedo and the community in Victoria.
In Sydney, the Philippine Consulate General, along with the Department of Trade and Department of Tourism, held a flag-raising ceremony at the Philippine House.
The Filipino community in Ballarat, regional Victoria, also conducted a flag-raising ceremony at Rizal Park.
