Following the release of banking royal commission final report, Australian banks have come up with stricter guidelines in granting home loans, making it harder for borrowers to finance their building or house purchase.

With the latest data indicating around 40 per cent of loan applications for mortgages were rejected in December 2018, experts warn that this year could see home buyers struggle to secure a loan.
