It's one of the measures Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull wants to see enacted in response to allegations of widespread misconduct set out in the final report of the Royal Commission into union corruption.

 

In this report, the opposition has labelled the Commission's work a political witch-hunt against the government's opponents.
