The half-yearly financial check-up on the Australian economy has showed the economic recovery is taking shape - but COVID uncertainty continues to cast a shadow over the future outlook.

Highlights
  • The latest assessment of federal spending is now public and the government says it's good news.
  • The unemployment rate has fallen to 4.6 per cent.
  • More than 366,000 jobs have been created, a monthly record.
