Indigenous Department at Screen Australia celebrates 25 years

It is not unusual for today's Australian film and television productions to have Indigenous actors carrying the lead roles, but it is a rather new state of affairs.

This year marks 25 years since the Indigenous Department at Screen Australia was formed.

Since it was created, it has given many Indigenous storytellers a platform for creating some of the country's most adored films, television shows and documentaries.
