As a practice nurse (the term used for nurses working in clinics), I was trained to draw blood every morning on weekdays, as there’s no pathology there. The courier collects it at lunchtime and travels to Horsham, which has the nearest pathology centre to run the tests. Other tasks I do there are wound dressings, immunisations, care plans, and assisting GP with minor surgical procedures (ie skin cancer)Leslyn May Tuclaud Lian, nurse in regional Victoria
