Over a year ago, women working with women victims of domestic abuse took the first step to ensuring equal access to services and protection for all vulnerable women and their children.

Non-residents who have become victims of abuse are often caught in a tight situation, with very little support they usually have no alternatives available to them but to return to their country of origin.

Early this year, an online petition  was launched to ensure ‘equitable services for all victim-survivors of family violence in Australia and protection of partner migrants’ rights’.

On October 6 they celebrated stories of triumph and welcome new partners in “Uniting Communities against Family Violence.’
