Queen's Birthday 2018 Honours List: Fil-Aussie Robert Andrew Hernandez awarded OAM

Several Australians were honoured during the Queen's birthday for their exceptional contributions to various fields and services. Among those included in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours List are Filipino-Australians Agnes Whiten and Robert Andrew Hernandez for their distinct service to the multicultural community in Queensland.

It's the second time that Mrs Whiten is included in the list. This year, she has been awarded as Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her promotion of women's rights in Queensland. And the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) award for Mr Hernandez is a recognition for his over two decades of service for the Filipino migrants in Queensland.
