Thousands flee as Typhoon Odette storm the Philippines

Thousands of residents around the country were forced to flee their homes as Typhoon Odette travels around the country leaving a trail of destruction.

  • NDRMC says around 100,000 residents were evacuated from Region 7,8,10 and CARAGA Region
  • Two cases of the Omicron Variant has been detected in the Philippines
  • Filipinos attend Dawn Mass (Simbang Gabi) with limited capacity
Typhoon Odette carried winds from up to 230 kilometres per hour
