NSW has launched its first Migrant Workers Centre in Sydney to support migrant workers facing workplace exploitation, backed by $6.5 million over four years to provide workplace, safety, and immigration assistance for temporary visa holders across the state.

- According to the Migrant Justice Institute, nearly two in three temporary visa holders are underpaid, while international students are losing more than $60 million in wages each week, and more than one-third are working under ABN or contractor arrangements.
- Mark Morey, president of NSW Unions, said that migrant workers are an important part of Australia because they help keep many industries running across the country.
- The first Migrant Workers Centre has been launched in Sydney CBD, along with outreach centres in regional NSW, to better support migrant workers facing underpayment, unsafe working conditions, and exploitation.
