When mental health struggles feel isolating, no one should face it alone, a community can make all the difference. That’s the message behind the 'You Are Not Alone' Mental Health Charity Concert in Logan, Queensland.
Key Points
- Led by event director Maddie De La Paz, the community event aims to raise awareness, break stigma and connect people with support, including Filipino psychiatrists, social workers, NDIS and other service providers.
- Beyond music and entertainment, YANA brings families and the wider community together to remind those struggling: you are not alone, and help is available.
- The YANA concert is on Saturday, September 26 in Logan, Queensland.
Inspired by her own mental health journey, Ms De La Paz turned YANA into a passion project to offer others the support, understanding and sense of connection she wished she had during her own difficult time.
I'm sad I'm down. I need help, I need someone. I need your hand, I need your hug. I don't want to hear anything. If you're on that state of mind at the moment and you are hearing me, believe me, there's help available and tomorrow is a brand new day.Maddie De La Paz, event director, 'You Are Not Alone' concert
