• Ang Order of Australia ay pambansang parangal na may apat na antas: AC, AO, AM, at OAM, para sa natatanging serbisyo sa bansa o sa sangkatauhan.
• Maaaring mag-nomina ang sinumang miyembro ng komunidad, at sinusuri ng Council of the Order of Australia at ng Governor-General ang bawat nominasyon; ang proseso ay tumatagal ng 18 buwan hanggang 2 taon.
