Key Points

• Sa ilalim ng Migration Amendment (2026 Measures No. 1) Act, may kapangyarihan na ngayon ang Minister for Home Affairs na maglabas ng "Arrival Control Determination."
• Maaari nitong pigilan ang pagpasok ng isang buong grupo o "class" ng temporary visa holders sa loob ng 6 hanggang 12 buwan kung may kaganapan sa ibang bansa na banta sa seguridad o sistema ng imigrasyon.
• Umani ng matinding kritisismo ang batas mula sa mga refugee advocates at civil society groups.
