Aniya, kung kumpiyansa ang liderato sa mga reklamo laban kay Vice President Duterte, dapat hayaan ang ebidensya na magsalita.
Samantala, sa botong anim na pabor, tatlumpu’t walong tutol at walang nag-abstain. Nagpasya ang House Committee on Justice na huwag buksan ang selyadong kahon ng Bureau of Internal Revenue o BIR na naglalaman ng tax documents ng mag-asawang Vice President Sara Duterte at Attorney Manases Carpio.
Ito ay matapos ang magkakaibang opinyon ng mga miyembro ng komite kung marapat na buksan o hindi ang selyadong kahon.
May ilang kongresistang nagsabing dapat buksan ang kahon para magkaalaman kung ano ang nakasaad sa tax document ng mag-asawang Vice President Duterte at Attorney Carpio.

Nauna na rito, naghain ng reklamo ang asawa ni Vice President Duterte na si Attorney Manases Carpio dahil sa pagsisiwalat ng Anti-Money Laundering Council ng mga detalye ng kanyang bank transactions sa publiko.
Maituturing umanong inciting to sedition at grave threats ang banta na ipapapatay ni Vice President Sara Duterte sina Pangulong Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at dating House Speaker Martin Romualdez kung may masamang mangyari sa kanya.
Iyan ang inihayag ng National Bureau of Investigation sa pagdinig ng kamara ng usisain ang umanoy pagbabanta ng Bise Presidente. Ayon sa NBI, nakitaan nila ang banta ni Duterte ng reasonable certainty of conviction.
Kinumpirma ng NBI na base sa kanilang pag-imbestiga, talagang mayroon ng kinausap na hitman si Vice President Duterte.
May mga lead na umano ang ahensya kung sino ang mga iyon at maaaring may kinalaman ang ilang nagbibigay seguridad sa bise presidente.
