AYO! 9M2 addresses the migration of a nation fictitiously, by suggesting that the island of Mauritius, in a state of social turmoil, forces a vast number of Mauritians to go and live abroad. The new predicament gives rise to extremely difficult living conditions for the immigrants. The characters invite us to share the tribulations of their uprooted lives in the face of adversity to acquire their freedom of space.
