Philippe Mangeot co-wrote the 2017 Cannes Grand Jury Prize-winning film BPM, which will screen part of the program at the 2018 Alliance Francaise French Film Festival.

He was a member and former president of Act Up-Paris, a militant association fighting against AIDs, and in 1997 he founded the journal Vacarme, where he was editor-in-chief 1999-2004. He is now a member of its editorial board. He also regularly contributes to Cahiers du cinéma.

He speaks to Christophe about the film and its impact in today's world.
