Russian girls got through to doubles semifinals

At the Australian Open the doubles tournaments have entered the semifinal stage, and last year's Wimbledon winners Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina have beaten Canadian Gabriela Dabrovski and the Xu Ifan from China in a quarterfinal 0:6, 6:1, 7:6(2). Match lasted 2 hours 7 minutes and in spite of the fact that the first set of the Russians lost with whitewash, they have managed to show determination and pulled out a victory
