Germany´s most promising candidate is Maren Ade´s "Toni Erdmann", nominated as "Best foreign language film"
But three other German nominees will be part of this year´s 89th Oscar ceremony: German Composer Volker Bertelmann, known as "Hauschka" together with Dustin O´Halloran (US) for "Best Original Score" in "Lion". As well as Marcel Mettelsiefen for his refugee drama "Watani: My Homeland" in "Best Documentary (Short Subject)". One of "Toni Erdmann´s" competitor will be "Land of mine", which is a Daenish-German co-production.
