    Canada and Europe are moving closer together

    As part of the open dispute with its most important trading partner USA, Canada is turning to Europe. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, who studied at Oxford and was formerly head of central bank in London, is now seeking close cooperation with the European Union. During a visit to Strasbourg, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen greets the Canadian with open arms and friendly words. In Australia, too, this development is being followed closely.
