- Only 20 Concordes were ever built, the last one in 1979

- They flew commercially from 1976 to 2003

- Chartered versions landed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on numerous occasions

- In March 1986, two Concordes landed in the GDR (Leipzig), within 24 hrs of each other

- They had to approach Leipzig from the Baltic Sea after being banned from flying over the border that ran through Germany

- The Technik Museum Sinsheim in Southern Germany has one of the 20 Concordes
