Evelyn´s family co-founded a well-known Germany shoe factory - "Salamander". Part one is about her childhood in Germany with a radical turnaround with the rise of the National Socialism.
Evelyn Field managed to survive and emigrated to Australia together with her father in February 1939. Her start in a new country was however a further challenge.
The last part focuses on her life in Australia as well as current issues. Evelyn expresses concerns on how refugees are treated today.
