EU agrees on stricter Asylum policies

After intense negotiations, Chancellor Merkel and her EU counterparts have agreed on a tougher stance on the asylum issue. Council President Tusk announced the breakthrough after more than 12 hours of talks. The EU summit agreed to endorse setting up regional disembarkation platforms outside Europe for migrants and refugees.
