Kapelle Grüetzi Mitenand: Meet the Melbourne-based Swiss folk band about to appear on Viva Volksmusik

John Wanner and his Melbourne-based "Kapelle Grüetzi Mitenand" are about to write Swiss television history. The Swiss-Australian bandleader and his group of enthusiastic musicians are being filmed by a Swiss television crew in early December. They will then travel to Zurich in early 2019 for a 2-hour live-to-air show, broadcasting on Saturday night, February 9.

The Swiss Radio and Television Network (SRF) production is called "Viva Volksmusik". The annual event at the Bodensee-Arena in Kreuzlingen TG has been held since 2011. It's a huge gala, presented by Nicolas Senn.
