That's what a survey of more than 43-thousand shoppers in 52 countries has found.
Conducted by Berlin’s Dalia Research company, "Made in Germany" tops a global list of manufacturing labels, ahead of “Made in Switzerland" und "Made in EU".
According to Dalia Research, consumers associate "Made in Germany" with ‘quality’ and ‘safety’. Products from Switzerland are seen as ‘status oriented’ and ‘authentic’.
“Made in China” on the other hand, might be the world’s best known label, but it lacks consumer appeal. In the latest popularity rankings, “Made in China” lands way down on the 49th position.
