Marco Kurz leaves Adelaide United

German coach Marco Kurz will not be offered a fresh deal when his contract at Adelaide United ends in June. The 49-year-old is believed to have fallen out with the club following a string of poor results and criticism of the club's hierarchy.

Marco Kurz came to Australia almost two years ago, after coaching Kaiserslautern, Hoffenheim, Dusseldorf and Ingolstadt in the German Bundesliga. He had demanded new players for the upcoming season and also complained about the sub-par quality of the club's training pitch.

His future is unknown but there are reports that Kurz might head to Sydney FC or Brisbane FC.

"We had the same problems last season with the pitch... It's very, very dangerous and I cannot train on it ... we must find a pitch for the rest of the season because I think we cannot go back... Now we must stop to train there because if I keep going, I'm sure we will have a lot of injuries."
