Merkel: use of chemical weapons unacceptable

Chancellor Angela Merkel regrets that Russia was not prepared to activate the joint mechanism of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in view of the chemical weapons deployment in Syria. This would have made the verification of the origin of the poison possible.
