Thomas Leeb was born in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, the youngest of four children. His parents ran a hotel high on a mountain pass (Turracher Höhe). He learned to play the guitar, aged 13.
Leeb, if you haven't noticed, uses his guitar in many different ways. As a percussion instrument. A melody instrument. Even as a bass instrument. And he plays it all at once!

Leeb, like most Austrians, is fluent in English and German. On Monday, August 13, he will bring his powerhouse guitar to our SBS studio at Federation Square to play us some tunes.
If you prefer to see Thomas Leeb on the big stage, you'll need to pencil in his appearance at the Melbourne International Guitar Night on Wednesday, August 15, at The Toff in Swanston Street.

Enjoy - and let us know on facebook what you think of the Austrian guitar maestro...
