What a concert! Swiss Military Small Band rocks Australia with unique blend of precision and passion

On August the 8th, several hundred Melburnians witnessed Swiss precision and passion at its best: 16 young men, all graduates of Switzerland's 18-week Brass Band Recruit School, rocked Federation Square with a unique concert.

The lunchtime gig was the fifth in Australia, after similar performances in Sydney, Canberra and at the Swiss Club of Victoria. It was the Swiss Military Small Band's 's first ever visit to Australia.

Also on stage at Federation Square was the Royal Australian Air Force Band. The joint performance coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Australian Army Band Corps.

Prior to Australia, the Swiss Military Small Band visited New Zealand and they are now due in India, their final stop before flying home to Switzerland.

Judging from the feedback in Melbourne, they will be sorely missed!
