One way or the other, most emigrant stories start like this - even those of Klaus Poetsch. In the 60s it was still a much bigger undertaking to turn your back on Germany in order to emigrate to the other side of the globe. Family Poetsch is nowadays in the 3rd generation in Australia and thanks to Klaus, even his grandchildren have dual citizenship: Australian and German. SBS-correspondent Katharina Loesche wanted to know more about Klaus Poetsch, especially how the emigration in the 60s was in contrast to today.
