In today’s episode of our series In conversation we hear from Andrew Clark. He is the Executive Producer of SBS World News, the evening news on SBS television. We briefly discuss the current situation in the newsroom, which has changed somewhat because of the Corona crisis, but our main subject is his path to journalism. Germany, and the German language, which he still uses with great ease, plays a major role in Andrew’s career choice. Andrew was born in Scotland and, as part of his German studies, spent a semester abroad in Rostock - from September 1989 to February 1990. This timing meant, that he had a chance to experience the historic events that changed the world forever up close and personal, and he tells us about these experiences with great verve.
