Today, when parents decide that their child should learn an instrument, the violin and the piano are at the top of the list. Less often, it is the accordion. One who has played the instrument with passion for almost 50 years is Anthony Schulz. The ARIA award winner not only plays professionally and teaches, but has also organised the Accordion Festival, which takes place in Melbourne on 30 September. And somehow responsible for all this is his German father Walter.
