A new school in Victoria brakes with old traditions. The Alice Miller School in the Macedon Ranges, on the North Western fringes of Melbourne, allows its students to sleep-in, given the lessons don't start before 10.30am. On the other hand, the students stay until 5pm each day and also have to clean up the mess they created during the day, themselves.
The school is named after psychologist, book author and childhood researcher Alice Miller from Switzerland. The Jewish immigrant worked in Zurich for several decades and later passed away in France.
