Australia's "Big Things" become an object of research

The “Big Prawn,” one of Australia's iconic “Big Things,” stands next to the Bunnings car park in Ballina, Australia, and can be seen on January 30, 2021. The huge crab can be viewed by the public around the clock. The “Big Prawn” is 9 meters high and weighs 35 tons. The restoration, which added a tail and gave the crab a much-needed major overhaul, cost Bunnings 400,000 dollars in 2013 after it was originally built in 1989. Credit: James D. Morgan/Getty Images
