Australian police warn of virtual kidnappings

The victims are mostly Chinese students: Fraudsters blackmail young people with sometimes flimsy pretexts in order to get their families' money. This goes so far that even kidnappings are faked. In Australia, such crimes are currently on the rise. German students can also fall victim to the criminals.
