Canowindra lies in the interior of New South Wales is considered the balloon capital of Australia. Nowhere are the winds more favorable for moving up into the sky and admiring the fascinating barren landscapes in the interior. But Canowindra is also an interesting place from a natural history point of view: the museum exhibits 360 million years old fossils of bizarre fish.
