The Australian Football League is becoming more and more popular outside Australia: in Germany alone 7 men and 4 women's teams are fighting for the title each year.
The "Berlin Crocodiles" were founded in 2002 in the capital as the third Aussie Rules Club in Germany. Their home games and training are now held in Schiller Park. In 2017 they won the championship in Germany, this year narrowly missed the title against the “Hamburg Dockers”.
