On the 8th of January 2017, David Bowie would have turned 70. He died last year after a long fight with cancer. To commemorate his birthday, a musical tour started in Brisbane, called "Bowie in Berlin", with performances of the works he composed in his time in Germany, from 1977 to 79. The tour will continue to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Mara Thellmann spoke with a couple of David Bowies friends and colleagues of that time, about his life and work in Berlin.
