Germany has a reputation for delivering quality, efficiency and reliability. This also applies to the healthcare sector. Since not many drugs and medical devices are manufactured in Australia itself, companies from abroad fill these gaps, including those from German-speaking countries. This offers opportunities and obstacles, as Bettina Schels explains. She lives in Brisbane and is head of the Health Cluster at the Australian Chamber of Foreign Trade (AHK).
