Australians love cricket, rugby and AFL, and - to a lesser degree - soccer. German-born David Pichotka is trying to introduce a new team sport into the mix: Handball. But what is Handball, and how successful has he been so far?
Pichotka (41) trains interested kids and teenagers, every weekend, at Melbourne High School in South Yarra. The trained sports therapist, passionate handballer and German teacher in Cranbourne VIC came to Australia in 2015. He was born in Xanten near Cologne, is married to a Polish-Australian wife and the couple have two boys, Oscar and Leo.
