Uta Poltze is the director of the Deutschstunde, an afternoon school based in Croydon, Sydney. Deutschstunde was founded by parents in 2009 and offers German lessons for children from preschool to year 12. Usually classes are held on Mondays and Tuesdays in the community center and neighbouring PLC school. Classes are now held digitally. The continuation of the classes preparing for the Sprachdiplom I and II is also ensured. Within days of the schools in NSW being closed, the team got used to the new approach and doesn't want to give up on these methods even after the crisis, because new opportunities are opening up!
