Drones are already monitoring Australian beaches and warning swimmers about sharks. Now the country wants to use the technology in the tropical north. There, crocodiles endanger swimmers and beach strollers. But a crocodile is harder to recognize than a shark, as my colleague Barbara Barkhausen found out.
