In an interview with Christoph Muecher, Director of the Goethe Institut in Australia, we hear about this year's offerings in the German Film Festival, which will bring 26 films to the screens in 7 cities across Australia from 24 May to 22 June. To celebrate the Goethe Institute's 50th anniversary, a classic film will be shown for each decade, there will again be a great selection for young audiences in the cinema for kids, and a variety of dramas, comedies and literary adaptations will take us through German history from the Nazi era and the GDR period to the present day and the dystopian future.
