The German Film Festival takes place from May 2 to 24. This year, the curators have put together a larger program than ever before, namely over 30 films. The choice can be difficult. That's why we invited film scholar Claudia Sandberg to the studio and picked out some of the festival's gems. This time it's about the film adaptation “A Thousand Lines” by Michael Herbig about the media scandal involving former German journalist Claas Relotius.

The festival takes place from May 2 to 24 in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth and Byron Bay. It is a cooperation between Palace Cinemas, German Films and the Goethe Institute.
