Flinders Island, in the stormy Bass Strait, is home to a little-known place, but it is of great importance for Tasmanian and Australian history. It is known as Wybalenna... and is a place of deep sorrow for Aborigines. In recent years, however, efforts have been made to make it a more pleasant place for Aborigines, where they can spend time healing and finding the truth, and where they can celebrate the annual NAIDOC week.
