The annual folk festival in Woodford has been held since 1994 on a good 500 hectares around 25 km west of Caboolture in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Every year almost 130,000 visitors make a pilgrimage to the diverse and peaceful hippie event over the turn of the year - the festival has long since achieved cult status among experienced “Woodfordians”. With nearly 2000 artists and over 400 events and workshops with local, national and international guests, the event is one of the largest and most famous in Queensland. First time patrons: Johanna and Jens from Brisbane and Julian, who reported daily from the festival site for the community radio station 4EB. How they experienced the festival they tell SBS-correspondent Katharina Loesche in an interview.
